Tonight, Phil Gordon and some of the other folks associated with the Put A Bad Beat On Cancer drive hosted a small buy-in tourney to benefit the charity. I had almost forgotten about it but remembered in time to sit down and not get blinded away.

To call it a gala event understates the case. The poker bloggers were out in force, perhaps explaining why less than 1/3 of the field was gone after the first hour of play.

That’s right. On the button, I hoyed Dr. Pauly and another of the WWdN poker game crew with The Hammer. I made it into about the top 20% of the field, but no hand made me prouder than that one.

That hammer was so mighty that it was fit for use by John Henry.
